Duck Doctoring

One of my best friends who has gone on to greener pastures was a remarkable man and veterinarian named Dr. Kevin Kuenzi. Not only did I did I learn a lot from him, about doctoring animals of all breeds and sizes and life, Kevin also introduced me to James Herriot’s All Creatures Great & Small, which taught me more about both subjects while making me laugh my dupa off. But none of them—not Kevin nor James, Siegfried or Tristan—prepared me at all for this week’s required Duck Doctoring on the X.

Gaille & I had to open a friggin’ Duck MASH unit. Duck triage. Duck surgery. And with any duck-luck, we’re moving on into duck recovery & rehab services—we’re 3 ducks deep (yes, three lame ducks with hopefully, two only temporarily so.) Insanity, I know but it’s what we do here on the X.

But we are determined to also wrap up THE BULL, THE BOY, AND THE BUFFALO ROBE.

Today, you’re getting Chapter 18 and on Wednesday (May 28th), you’ll have the last chapter, Chapter 19!

This book still makes me laugh and I hope you’ve enjoyed it.
